In his novel “Adventures of Pinocchio”, Carlo Collodi follows Pinocchio’s journey from animated log to “real boy”, taking him through all sorts of trials that test his morals and judgment. A series of fantastic characters accompany him on this whimsical journey. The family play "Pinocchio" staged by the group Moved by the Motion explores the novel’s poetic and philosophical aspects, and condenses them into a visually stunning world of illusion, movement, poetry, virtual reality and music.
The play was invited to "Wiener Festwochen" in 2023.

Press quotes:
“Collodi's “Pinocchio” is radically dusted off and what emerges is a fantastically dazzling discourse machine at the height of our time.” (WOZ, 23.11.2022)
“House director Wu Tsang and her performance group Moved by the motion create a visually and acoustically perfectly staged spectacle at the Pfauen.” (Radio SRF 2 Kultur, 14.11.2022)
“The play blends perfectly into a sparkling theater of illusion that achieves great effect with simple means. On the stage, whose floor reflects the animations in the background, great flights in the sky are just as possible as diving in the ocean or unexpected encounters in the belly of a whale.” (nachtkritik, 13.11.2022)
